The Nafsika Astir Palace was named
after Nausica, the modest maiden who tended to the wants of
the shipwrecked Odysseus. Equally modest, the hotel is hidden
from view, except from the sea, having been built on the cliffside
of the Vouliagmeni promontory, facing the bay. Thus the reception
area is on the ground level and the rooms, each with its own
spacious and secluded verandah, stretch down six storeys to
the swimming pool and private beach at se level. Here, guests
can enjoy a buffet breakfast or lunch in the casual atmosphere
of the Jason restaurant offers candlelit dinners with soft
music while in the summer, the outdoor restaurant serves dinner
under the stars.
The NAFSIKA has the largest Congress Hall and banqueting
capacity of the Resort and also houses the business centre
and ISDN facilities for the whole complex. It is also considered
ideal for gala dinners and theme parties which can be held
at Pergola or by the pool.
